Timothy T. Goodnow, PhD

President & CEO

Dr. Goodnow joined the Senseonics Board of Directors in December 2010 and on March 1, 2011 became President & CEO. Dr. Goodnow was most recently with Abbott Diabetes Care where he was the Vice President, Technical Operations. Prior to that, he held positions at TheraSense, Verax Biomedical, Dade Behring and Baxter Healthcare. Dr. Goodnow has led the successful development of a number of FDA approved glucose monitoring systems and insulin pumps. He holds a PhD and BS in Chemistry from the University of Miami.

R. Don Elsey

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Elsey has served in executive finance positions for both privately and publicly held companies. Most recently, he served as the CFO of Regado Biosciences, a public biopharmaceutical company. He was the CFO of LifeCell, Inc., a private regenerative medicine company, from 2013-2014 and as Senior VP and CFO at Emergent BioSolutions, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company, from 2005-2012. Mr. Elsey also served as the Director of Finance and Administration at IGEN International, Inc., a public biotechnology company, and its successor BioVeris Corporation, from 2000 to 2005. He also served as Director of Finance at Applera and in several finance positions at IBM, Inc. Don serves on the board of directors of RegeneRx Biopharmaceuticals, a public biopharmaceuticals company, as well as on the board of the Cancer Support Community. He received an MBA in Finance and a BA in Economics from Michigan State University.

Mukul Jain, PhD

Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining Senseonics, Dr. Jain spent 13 years at Medtronic working on active implantable devices in CRDM and Neuromodulation space. Most recently, he was responsible for managing the development of Neurostimulator systems in spinal cord stimulation and sacral nerve stimulation. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Medtronic Energy and Components Center; working on various critical components used across Medtronic’s implantable devices. He holds a MBA from Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota), a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of South Carolina and a B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

E. Lynne Kelley, M.D., FACS

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Kelley was appointed as our Chief Medical Officer in January 2016. From January 2011 to January 2016, Dr. Kelley was the World Wide Vice President of Medical Affairs Medical Surgical Systems of Becton, Dickinson & Company. Prior to that, Dr. Kelley was the Vice President Medical Director for Kimberly Clark from November 2007 to December 2010. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Kelley served as the medical director for the peripheral interventions and vascular surgery business of Boston Scientific. Before her assignment with Boston Scientific, Dr. Kelley was an assistant professor of vascular surgery and radiology at Yale University from 2003 to 2005. Dr. Kelley is a board certified general and vascular surgeon. Dr. Kelley received her M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School and her B.A. in Biology from Boston University.

Abhi Chavan, PhD

Vice President, Engineering, R&D

Dr. Chavan brings over 30 years of experience in research, development & engineering, most recently at Medtronic Diagnostics as Senior Director-R&D. Previously he was Vice President of Research, Product Development and Manufacturing Operations for Corventis, where he guided development of wearable, mobile cardiac health products. Dr. Chavan also spent several years at Boston Scientific in Research & Product Development, managing projects related to the design of Class III implanted Cardiac Rhythm Management devices. And prior, he held various management and engineering positions with General Motors and Delphi Electronics, as well as software and design engineering positions at Siemens A.G. and Coherent Research Inc. Dr. Chavan has published widely in the field of medical devices, automotive systems, circuits and sensors, and has over 50 worldwide patents issued. He is a Senior member of the IEEE and EMBS. He received his BSEE(valedictorian) from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda-India, his MSEE from Syracuse University, NY, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Mirasol Panlilio

Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing

Prior to joining Senseonics, Ms. Panlilio served as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Arkal Medical (continuous glucose monitoring) and VeraLight (type 2 diabetes diagnostic). At TheraSense/Abbott Diabetes Care, she directed the worldwide strategic commercialization of the FreeStyle Navigator® continuous glucose monitoring system. She was also with LifeScan, a Johnson and Johnson company, where she led the marketing efforts of the company’s hospital glucose monitoring business unit, championed its first joint product venture with Inverness Medical (Selfcare), and led the sales and marketing teams for its Asia Pacific business. Additionally, she managed the development and successful commercialization of several new products, including the best-selling OneTouch® System. Ms. Panlilio received her B.S. degree from San Jose State University in Business Administration.

Steve Walters

Vice President, Clinical Sciences

Prior to joining Senseonics, Mr Walters was Director of Operations for Dye Magnet Industries, a consumer product company, where he helped commercialize a new product. He also participated in the sale of the company to consumer product giant Reckitt Benckiser. Before joining DMI, Mr. Walters was President of Larox Inc., a Finnish owned capital equipment manufacturer. He oversaw the growth of this company for more than 15 years with expansions in the USA, Canada and Mexico. He holds a MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
